AliBaba or AliExpress? Which one original?

The answer to the question that which one is original is that both of them are original and owned by the same company AliBaba Group owned by Jack Ma.

Then whats the difference between two?

AliBaba:

Alibaba is a wholesale market, people buy the product and resell in stores. There is a minimum order requirement on AliBaba .Alibaba don’t offer drop shipping  and is best for developed or growing businesses that have the gut to store hundreds of items at a place and resell later.

AliExpress:

AliExpress is a retailer market for online selling where buyers can make purchases from manufacturers and resellers. As AliExpress is a retailer market there is no minimum order requirement Many sellers on AliExpress offer dropshipping, that’s why AliExpress is best for startups and beginners

Price comparison:

Alibaba being a wholesale market has lower price than AliExpress but it has minimum order requirement associated with it as well.

Dropshipping:

Dropshipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn't keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product using the dropshipping model, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer.

AliBaba does not offer dropshipping you open the site select the product, contact them via email or chat and tell them about your requirement and customization.

On other hand AliExpress offer dropshipping you just select the product add to your cart or click the buy option, simple

AliExpress is the best choice for dropshipping because you can order one-off products instead of large amount of wholesale product. There are also many third-party solutions to sell dropship AliExpress products, such as Shopify’s Oberlo app.

 

Customization of product and labeling:

Alibaba is the better one for buying custom and private label products because you are purchasing the items directly from the manufacturer. With Alibaba, you can easily customize your product with your own logo and  store name for a very low price because they are added during the manufacturing, rather later on by a third party.

There are also many suppliers on Alibaba that will manufacture products according to your design, so you are getting a truly unique product. As AliExpress is a retailer market there is not much space for customization and labelling of product and if offered it is at very high price.

Shipping Costs & Time

AliExpress offers free shipping to U.S. customers through a service called ePacket but it is not the case with Pakistan. Since AliExpress purchases are much smaller than Alibaba wholesale orders, the shipping logistics are easier and less expensive, though it still takes time. AliBaba shipping costs and time will vary depending on your supplier, what you are ordering, and how big your order is
